NOAA recently announced the implementation of the first statewide marine debris action plan in the nation.  The Hawaii Marine Debris Action plan brings together groups from variety of governmental and private groups (including HPU and the Oceanic Institute) together to tackle the growing problem of marine debris around the Islands. The new 6th edition of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association was published last year.  Among the more important changes to take place is the implementation of the DOI (digital object identifier) standard for online article identification.
